The Record

The Evidence Room

Audio, photographs, and footage from our field work — published only when we can stand behind it, and labeled exactly as honestly as it was captured.

Before Anything Is Published

Our Evidence Standards

An archive is only as good as its weakest item. Before anything appears on this page, it has to clear four tests — and if it can't, it doesn't run.

  • Natural Explanations First

We try to debunk our own material before anyone else can. Drafts, reflections, radio bleed, pattern-seeking, equipment artifacts — if a plausible ordinary explanation exists, the item is set aside, not published.

  • Context Preserved

Every published item keeps its context: where and when it was captured, the conditions at the time, and what was ruled out. Beyond basic level adjustments — always disclosed — nothing is enhanced or edited.

  • Corroborated Review

No single investigator decides. Material is reviewed by more than one set of eyes and ears, and what still can't be explained is presented as exactly that — unexplained, never as proof.

  • Permission & Privacy

Nothing recorded in a private home is ever published without the owner's explicit written permission. Confidentiality outranks content — every time, no exceptions.

Why This Room Is Quiet

A small archive is a deliberate choice. We would rather publish nothing than publish something we can't stand behind — so material appears here only as it clears the standards above, at its own pace.

The Archive

Published Evidence

Recordings, photographs, and clips from our cases — each with its context intact, each labeled honestly.

Review in progress

Nothing Published Yet — By Design

Our first field recordings are working their way through review, and they will appear here only when they pass. In the meantime, the county's documented lore holds more than any single recording could.

Captured Something You Can't Explain?

A photograph, a recording, a clip from somewhere in El Dorado County — we'll examine it with the same standards we apply to our own material, and nothing you share is ever published without your permission.
