The Case Files

Investigations

Field work across El Dorado County — researched before we arrive, documented while we're there, and published only once it clears our own review.

The Method

How We Investigate

Every case follows the same six steps, in the same order — the same discipline for a Main Street landmark as for a family's living room. Skepticism is part of the method, not the enemy of it.

  1. Initial Consultation

It starts with listening. A detailed conversation about what has been experienced, the property's background, and your concerns — so we arrive prepared, with the right equipment and the right questions.

  2. Historical Research

Before any visit, we go to the record: property histories, prior owners and occupants, newspaper archives, and any documented events that might explain — or deepen — the story.

  3. Baseline Documentation

We measure the location on its own terms first — electromagnetic readings, temperature, humidity, and sound levels, along with the drafts, wiring, and settling that produce false positives.

  4. Active Investigation

Then the lights go down. Systematic sweeps of the location, careful documentation of anything anomalous, and controlled communication sessions in the areas of reported activity.

  5. Evidence Analysis

Everything captured — audio, video, sensor data — is reviewed afterward by more than one set of eyes and ears. Anything with a plausible natural explanation is set aside; only what survives review is kept, and it is graded honestly.

  6. The Report

We bring the findings back in plain language: what we found, what we ruled out, what we could not explain, and what we recommend next. Nothing embellished — that promise is the whole point.

From the Field

Published Investigations

Our investigation films appear here as cases clear review — honest footage, honest findings, nothing staged.

The First Cases Are Being Prepared

We publish an investigation only after the footage and the findings pass our own review — no rushed uploads, no manufactured drama. Our first published cases are being prepared now. While you wait, the county's documented lore runs deep.

Experiencing Something You Can't Explain?

At home, at your business, or somewhere in the county's history — tell us what's happening. Every inquiry is handled with discretion and respect, and we always look for the ordinary explanation first.
